Joe McElderry announces new album plans

He might have been a bit quiet of late, but it seems pint-sized former popstar Joe McElderry has been quiet for a reason – and that reason is that he's been off working on his fourth album, Here's What I Believe. Hurrah!

The friendly fella who won ITV1 talent show Popstar To Operastar made the announcement in the form of a very special video dedicated to his fans – and he filmed it all in a recording studio; just so we got a full feel for what he's been up to, you know…

Speaking about his exciting news Joe said, "I'm currently recording my fourth album - it's so exciting.

"I can't wait for you to hear all of the stuff. It's been going on since around January time, so it's been a long time coming for me."

"I've really enjoyed being in the studio."

Now, although we know Joe has a proper amazing operatic voice, we have to stay we do miss a few of those old pop numbers he could spin out at an amazing pitch - so we're hoping we'll see a bit of a mix when it comes to style on the new LP.

Of course the little fella himself has promised us plenty more exciting video updates over the next few months – but what we want to know is, whether you will be buying Joe's new album when it's released on 17 September? Or perhaps you miss his complete pop status and would like him to go back to his Wide Awake days of 2010? Do tell heatworlders, we're listening…
