Last nights The Only Way Is Marbs: Sun, sea and short shorts

Last night's The Only Way Is Marbs: Sun, sea and short shorts

We're all going on a summer holiday. No more Sugar Hut for a week or two. As Cliff Richards would say… Sort of.

The TOWIE gang recently packed their snorkelling gear and headed to the Brentwood of Spain – Marbella. And lucky for us, there was a film crew filming the whole darn thing.

Here's what went on:

Lydia and Tom K

Things seem to be going great for new couple Lydia Bright and Tom Kilbey. Lydia talks about moving on – for the 982nd time – and she tells Tom that her happiness levels have greatly improved since they've been together. Arrrrr.

Tom chats to ex-girlfriend Billi Mucklow and she says she's happy for Lydia and him, but she's still not quite over it.

Lauren P and Tom P

Another new couple talking through their feelings are Lauren Pope and Tom Pearce. Tom's confused about whether he can hook up with other girls because the pair haven't actually made anything official.

Tom; if you're thinking about pulling other girls, Lauren's probably not the one for you…

Tom asks Lauren what's going on between them.

Lauren doesn't seem keen on making things any more serious, as it makes everything 'more complicated.'

Poor Tom genuinely seems upset about the whole thing, despite what he said earlier.

Soon after this intense moment Diags pops his trunks off and jumps into the pool naked, which helps take the edge off things.

Mario and Lucy

Mario's treated himself to some VERY short shorts and a new hairdo, which he's claiming he invented – and guess what? It's called the Mario. Maybe it's just us, but he looks suspiciously like a lobotomy patient to us.

Anywho, Lucy can't wait for tomorrow night's Champagne spray party but Mario's not too bothered.

"It's just another Champagne spray party, isn't it?" he says.

But that doesn't sound like the Mario we know and… tolerate.

What's he up to?

The Essex crew head out for a knees up and Lucy expresses her concern that Mario's acting weird.

"I hope he snaps out of it," she says.

If only you knew…

Mario rents a super flash yacht for the pair to spend the day on, despite Lucy being devastated about missing the Champagne spray party.

They have a lovely day together and finish the night with a romantic drink. Mario starts gushing about how much he loves Lucy, and all of a sudden he pulls out a big fat diamond ring.

She says yes, and they momentarily forget that they've both cheated on each other in the past…

Mario and Lucy arrive at the Champagne spray party and break the good news that they're engaged. Everyone's excited; except one person.

"Oh my god, Lucy obviously doesn't know any of the rumours that have been going on," Sam Faiers cryptically says to her sister Billie and Jess Wright.

But what does she mean…

Arg's attitude

Word on the street/Twitter is that people are starting to tire of Arg's bad attitude. One person in particular who's had enough is Lauren Goodger. She doesn't feel like she knows him anymore and goes to talk to him about it.

In the meantime Arg is proving Lauren right by being pretty mean about lovely Gemma Collins, who he hooked up with at the end of the last series.

Gemma arrives in Marbella late as she's been looking after her poorly mum, Joan Collins. She's heard that Arg has been saying she's too fat for him to have as a girlfriend.

Nice Arg. Real nice…

Lauren arrives at Arg's apartment, which seems to have been decorated by an interior designer obsessed with Scarface and sex dungeons.

She gives him a lecture on the direction his life is going in, and how he's pushing everyone away.

At the Champagne spray party Gemma turns up like a woman on a mission. She removes her sarong revealing her sexy swimsuit, and tells Arg to stop disrespecting her by calling her fat.

"Take a look at this, because you ain't ever going to get this candy."

Bravo Gemma. Bravo.

So what did you think of The Only Way Is Marbs – will Mario and Lucy live happily ever after? Does Gemma still secretly love Arg? And will Diags ever get lucky?
