Tropang Potchi goes to Corregidor

Tropang Potchi goes to Corregidor

Taking advantage of the summer break, the kids of GMA’s Saturday morning show Tropang Potchi will go on an excursion cum educational tour around two important bastions in the country’s World War II history: Bataan and the island of Corregidor.

Join Julian Trono, Miggy Jimenez and Bianca Umali as they visit the largest cross in the whole world – the Dambana ng Kagitingan (Shrine of Valor), which was erected to honor the souls of the valiant soldiers who served during the Second World War. They will also set a young Philippine turtle or pawikan into the open sea with the help of Bataan’s Pawikan Conservation Center.

From Bataan, Julian, Miggy and Bianca will take a short boat ride to the nearby island of Corregidor, which played an important role in both the invasion and liberation of the Philippines from the Japanese forces during World War II. The kids will take a tour around the island and visit its tourist attractions like the Japanese Tunnel, the island’s lighthouse and the Malinta Tunnel. Also, while on the island, the kids will try fun-filled activities that are best done under the heat of the sun like rock balancing and kayaking.

Let’s revisit a segment of our country’s history while having fun this Saturday on Tropang Potchi, 9:00am on GMA-7.

Tropang Potchi is sponsored by Columbia International Food Products, the makers of Potchi, V-Fresh, My Juiz, Champy and So Lucky Crackers.
