8-division world boxing champion Manny Pacquiao eyes American Idol Season 11 MexiPinay contender Jessica Sanchez to sing "Lupang Hinirang" in one of his future fights.

Pacquiao recently praised the Filipino-Mexican-American singer, who is now among the top 5 finalists in the current season of "American Idol."

In an interview with ABS-CBNNews.com, the Saranggani Congressman said he is praying for Sanchez, and he believes she can win the whole competition.

"Jessica, good luck and we're praying for you. Sana manalo ka. No, hindi sana. I declare that you're gonna win in Jesus' name," he said.

Those who have sung the Philippine National Anthem in Pacquiao's previous fights include Charice, Maria Aragon, Sarah Geronimo, Lani Misalucha, Christian Bautista, Kyla, Jennifer Bautista, Jonalyn Viray, Aicelle Santos, Maricar Garcia, and Arnel Pineda.

In his June 9 fight against Timothy Bradley, Pacquiao chose Kirby Asunto, a Filipina-New Yorker, to sing the national anthem.

Clarisse Marie Obia from Biñan, Laguna, the Philippines' representative to the Miss Teen Universe 2012 pageant was crowned first runner-up in the coronation night held at the Hall of the Ruben Dario National Theater in Managua, Nicaragua on April 30.

Obia, a 5'6" 19-year-old student from Lyceum of the Philippines University, was chosen by the Bb. Unibersidad organization to represent the country after earning a top ten spot in its inaugural pageant last year.



Meanwhile, Sasha Nikyta Kam from Panama emerged as the 2012 Teen Universe grand winner besting other Top 13 finalists including the Philippines.

Dressed in their costumes, Myrtle Sarrosa's fellow cosplayers, friends and fans seemed like the "Avengers" when they converged outside of the Pinoy Big Brother (PBB) House.

They showed their support for the #3 most popular cosplayer in the country next to Alodia Gosengfiao and her sister Ashley. Myrtle's fan page has reached over 200 thousand already just a week after entering the house. With placards that read "Let's save our Cosplay Princess!", they went on full force to campaign for their PBB favorite. For them, this young lady deserves to stay inside the house. "We love Myrtle! We watch PBB Teen Edition everyday because of her," said one of the cosplayers.





She comes from a good family in Iloilo and is currently an Accounting student at UP Visayas. Intelligent and fun-loving, she's also a Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) President who can balance her academics and extra-curriculars quite well. According to her family and friends, Myrtle is a breath of fresh air – kind and sweet to everyone around her. Joining PBB was something her parents didn't support at first. Being a responsible lady, her parents were convinced when their daughter promised them that she will not let anything get in the way of her studies.

Looking like Erich Gonzales, male celebrities have been vocal about their admiration for Myrtle's morena beauty and wish to meet her after her PBB stint. A lot are still hoping that she remains to be in the PBB House.
