The Hit Factory Live cancelled! Say goodbye to that Kylie Minogue and Jason Donovan reunion!

The planned Hit Factory Live concert at London's Hyde Park has been cancelled – just a day before is was due to go ahead!

Blame the extremely wet weather for the fact that acts such as Steps, Rick Astley, Dead Or Alive, Sinitta, Sonia, 2 Unlimited, Pepsi & Shirlie, Bananarama and Kylie Minogue and Jason Donovan will no longer rock London.

The venue at Hyde Park has been declared unfit, and it was thought the risk to staff, performs and music fans was too great for the concert to go a head, and  so the decision to cancel the event was taken.

A spokesperson for promoters Live Nation has said, "The moment the Wireless Festival ended, we put in place a massive plan to prepare the site for tomorrow. Eight thousand cubic metres of wood chip is currently being put in place and over the past 24 hours crews have started to make the site safe for our customers.

"Despite best efforts time has beaten us, but I want to reassure that Hard Rock Calling concerts with Soundgarden, Bruce Springsteen and Paul Simon, plus Madonna on 17 July and the BT London Live Opening Ceremony Celebration concert and the events will go ahead."

This a very sad day for 80s and 90s pop fans.

Bring the house down!

We're particularly gutted that Hit Factory show has been cancelled because we so desperately wanted to see Kylie and Jason reunited on stage.

Kylie announced last month that she and Jason would sing their classic duet Especially For You,

"I'm going to sing Especially for You with Jason Donovan... I don't think we'll even need to sing it. I'm sure the audience all went through the Neighbours wedding. It's going to bring the house down! Even though it's outdoors."

*Shakes fist at the pesky weather*
