Linday's had a bit of a rough ride over the last few years. She 'accidentally' stole a necklace, crashed a car and she's been in and out of rehab, but now it seems like at last, the troubled actress is getting her life back together and back into the movie business.
She's been asked to star in the next instalment of the Scary Movie franchise. Yes they're making another one.
A source close to the actress told Gossip Cop that while there isn't a deal yet, and there haven't been any negotiations over contracts but Lindsay has been directly approached over the role. The film is scheduled for a release late in 2013 so filming would begin soon.
Lindsay's up and down film career
Lindsay started off as a darling of Hollywood appearing in remakes of The Parent Trap and Freaky Friday before becoming a megastar after starring in Mean Girls. She got into some trouble with drink and other things and went off the rails for a while, studios were reluctant to employ her because of the huge insurance costs. She was reduced to filming infomercials. But now she's back on form after finishing filming on a TV film about Elisabeth Taylor and Richard Burton called, Liz & Dick.
The producer of the film Larry Thompson told E!, "The cinematic drama of the Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton love story which unfolds on screen is much more exciting and everlasting than the drama during production that took place off screen."
Could this be a fresh start for Lindsay? We hope so.
